Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders through Diversity Awareness

Are you passionate about fostering empathy, understanding, and inclusivity among today's youth?

Led by Gina Martin, this program teaches Youth, from K-12, what disabilities are but mostly what they are not.  In the past, we have spent so much time educating youth with disabilities how to fit in with society. Through engaging and age-appropriate curriculum, Youth aDAPT helps the class understand how to work together and in turn normalizes the differences that make us diverse - this is what will create the inclusion we strive to obtain. Everyone has strengths and stretches because we are all different from each other. 

What We Offer:

• Engaging Presentation: Students learn about both apparent and non apparent disabilities and how to be supportive to others whose brain or body works differently.  
• Hands-On Experience: Participants experience daily tasks as a person with a disability would, leading to meaningful discussions and problem-solving.
• Inclusive Language: Youth aDAPT emphasizes that words are a power tool, teaching the preferred language to use for promoting respect and kindness.
• Awareness Beyond the Visible: Students discover the importance of recognizing non-apparent disabilities, and celebrating who we are as individuals as we are all different from each other, promoting inclusion.
